Studio Space booked

So we have booked a studio space in Soar Works at Knutton Road, and we are aligned to the YAS studio spaces managed there. SOAR have offered us a great deal which will enable us to also work in pop-up way both at Knutton Road and at The Learning Zone. We get it in August - The space will be called the Ruskin Studio and be the home of the Ruskin Study Collection. This means the project now has a space for 18months which will be accessible and have activity programmed into. We are hoping to start off with a exhibition of Harry Major paintings [Harry is the artist featured in the Paul Allender film made for our commission for YAS]. More info on all to be announced.

The Ruskin Study Collection will hold commissioned art/functional objects for use by whoever. it will at the end of the project "be put beyond use" - what this means as yet is debatable.....
As spoken about in the post to the MS ruskin archive, the new items will need to consider the tripartate nature of the Business of Life quote and our new mantra - To Know, To Accept, To Mend.
As Steve mentioned in the Fors Budget post just below, a new Fors Budget will be commissioned [originally it was a book passed around the companions for thoughts to be offered into] and as before it will be passed around new companions for thoughts to be offered into. We have also commissioned Andy Parker to make whatever he see's fit and im hoping its some letters! And finally as we now seem to work in 3's we have approached Dick the Potter based at YAS Persistence works to throw some new pots.
